MY APPROACH:
My goal is for students to learn about themselves so they can best understand how they learn in order to gain the skills and feel empowered to confidently do the things they want to in this world.
GET TO KNOW YOUR KIDI build a connection with your student to explore how they see the world and discover how they best learn. I strive to learn what motivates them, what their relationship to themselves and learning is like, and how they feel they need support.

CREATE A CUSTOM PLANBy evaluating your student's course load, academic history, and any relevant mental health or notable emotional struggles, I curate a plan with achievable goals to help them move forward in a way that makes sense for them.

The WORKWhen I work with a student, I meet them where they are at while tailoring my lessons to the individual so they can learn and gain confidence to do things on their own. I operate at the confluence of mental health and academic struggles, so it is more than just "doing math" together.

MORE THAN TUTORING...
I believe every kid is unique and wants to learn. There are all kinds of obstacles that interfere with learning. I specialize in meeting your student where they are at and ensuring they feel seen, heard, and supported as they work through their struggles.
Success to me looks like your child experiencing a lasting increase in self-esteem and a sense of personal agency. While I cannot guarantee results for your child, I can say addressing these things typically leads to a performance increase, i.e., better grades.

Location & HoursI meet in a variety of locations, depending on what's most comfortable. I can meet in your home in the Flathead Valley, the Whitefish Library, a local coffee shop, or Zoom.
